AGM Report 2004
- By Peter Dunn
On Saturday we had the AGM. About 40 or so
members were present, the meeting lasting about 50 minutes.
Highlights:
- President's Report - previously published
in Dispatches
- Treasurer's Report - Club made a loss of
just over $200 for the year. This included Capex (basecloths, trestles,
terrain, rulebooks) of $1600. Call to Arms made a profit which was added to
the Convention Reserve. Subs unchanged.
- Meeting voted not to bid for NatCon or
NiCon but to concentrate on Call to Arms
- Brent Senior-Partridge is to look into an
arrangement with Wellington Workingman's Club to hold weeknight meetings at
their venue. No extension of weekend meetings.
- Motion passed unanimously that the
Warlords would support any initiative to wind up NZMWF (which the NZMWF
Secretary said was effectively defunct).
- Meeting voted to lend the Hutt Club tables
for NatCon.
- Warlord of the Year - awarded to Peter
Dunn (thanks)
- Election of President - Paul Goldstone
beat Geoff Cooper 23-5
- Election of Committee - Gareth Ackrill
(Dispatches), Brent Senior-Partridge (Secretary), Michail Woolf (Treasurer),
Alan Borthwick, Geoff Cooper, Greg Jennings, Mark Watson - no election
necessary.
In future Brent (Membership/Admin) and Michail
(Financial Matters) are the people to speak to. Thanks to all for their
support of the Club, certainly made my job easier.
Regards
Pete
