"With three different versions of the 'final" rules on the go the first "national" test of the rules saw a welcome return to "Big boys' toys". Ivan Troung's brand new Navarese AD1360 high medieval's took away frist prize closely followed Richard Foster's veteran Early Burgundians AD1433, down for the weekend from the Corromandel. Third place and winner of the Best Painted Army, Andrew Bennets Marian Romans closed the deal shutting out the Warlords and Hutt players from even a place. Local honour however was recovered with Hutt player John van der Hoeven, Sassanids carrying off "best army" (aka - this is the army we all wanted to take home) while John also won "best sport" - a well deserved compliment to one of the nicest guys in the hobby. Not placed but highly commended Brent Senior Partridge's massed chinese draw some impressive comment and a special 'welcome back" to Dirk Hienzius whose 25mm Hinchcliffe Byzantines were older than most of the Warhammer gamers".

Who Are We?

We are Wellington's oldest, and New Zealand's second oldest, wargaming club. That is, we play with toy soldiers.

.We cater for all periods, all rules and all toy soldiers. What we do, is provide an opportunity for people with a common interest to get together, play each other and learn more about their hobby.

What is Wargaming?

Wargaming is a tactical game. It involves devising a plan to beat an opponent and then using the best tactics to execute the plan but at the same time, your opponent is trying to do the same to you!
